Ain’t life a bitch?

When G.W. Green was executed in Texas on November 12, 1991, these were his last words—or, at least, these were most of them. I can’t imagine what flavor of prudery would lead a man to censor another man’s last words, but let it be known from this day forth that the Guild is not in favor of this practice. Honestly, this bastard did something pretty heinous to wind up on death row and was then executed for it. I think, somewhere in the bargain, he’s earned the right for his last words to be recorded in their original and unadulterated form.

Convicted in the November 1976 shooting death of 43-year-old John Denson, a Montgomery County juvenile probation officer and reserve deputy sheriff, during a burglary at the officer’s home in Magnolia. Green and accomplices Joseph Starvaggi and Glenn Earl went to Denson’s home to steal his gun collection. Starvaggi shot Denson when the officer struggled with one of the intruders and wrestled his gun away. Starvaggi then shot Denson two more times, but declined Green’s alleged urgings to kill the officer’s wife and 13-year-old daughter.
See? I told you so. Anyway, I can’t find what he actually said—that is, we don’t know what specific expletive the TDCJ deleted when they created this website. Still, I’m guessing it was bitch.
Let’s do it, man. Lock and load. Ain’t life a bitch?
Yeah, it really is sometimes.
